Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill

Very cool tour of the mill with knowledgable staff. Their clearance yarn bin is excellent for large projects! It's "streaky," but I enjoy that look. Could use an update to the colors they dye, some of it feels a little "old," but I'm intrigued by their experiments into natural dyes.

Incredible mill and shop. Their yarn is exquisite. They have an amazing collection of patterns, and a number of samples to view. Note: if you don't see what you want, don't hesitate to ask. They have a lot more in stock than you might see in the showroom and their staff is outstanding.

The wool is lovely, but it takes me 30 minutes to wind it into a ball... every skein I've purchased is like this... it's wrapped back on to itself somehow. I gave up putting it on a swift...took twice as long.

Such a cool local wool mill! My family toured the mill at the open house and it was crowded, but wonderful to see how all the machines work and there was so much yarn and so many patterns to look through!

so many beautiful shades and colors of rich, soft wool! Bags and crates, tubs and barrels, skeins and balls of yard...amazing patterns, wall hangings, mohair, silk, wool, omg he's even on earth.
