Ripley Park

Lots of great improvements at the park in the last several years. The playground is updated and new, tons of fun for the kids. The new shelter and bathroom facilities are clean and nicer than most park facilities I've visited. Beach space can get a bit limited when the place is busy. Water quality for swimming isn't perfect, but is better than many lakes around southern Wisconsin.

Nice park, beautiful beach, Frisbee gulf basketball tennis, volleyball basketball soccer playground picnic shelter w/grill.

Very very nice park but they charge $2 a person on the honors system. Most people don't stop to pay, so it seems to be a tax on the honest.

It was our time at Ripley Beach in two years! They have a brand new playground with a squishy mat underneath, including new slides, swings, and lots of things to climb. Most of the trees that had been growing by the beach are gone. There was a new area of prairie restoration near the center of the grassy area that looks very nice. The bathrooms are still well maintained and in good shape; the showers in the family bathrooms are so great with kids! The air compressor is very convenient for filling rafts and tubes for swimming. There were plenty of picnic tables, and the wide beach made leaving space between us and fellow beach goers easy. I love how far we can walk into the lake before it gets deep. The kids have so much room to swim and play safely. The water was pleasant on a sunny late summer day. It remains one of our very favorite beaches in the area. Driving through Fort Atkenson for dinner on the way home was a perfect way to end the day!

Nice beach and park to hang out at. Great place to swim on a hot, humid day. Decent bathrooms and a shower to rinse off in, lots of tables you can move towards shade if you need to.
