  Ms. Amanda has helped my son, Alex, make fantastic progress in his speech and language development over this past year. Every week she has fun activities planned specifically for Alex that he enjoys doing while he’s accomplishing his learning goals. She is also one of the most patient, kind, and energetic people I’ve ever encountered. She is a gifted therapist that we are fortunate to have in our lives.

  We have been extremely happy with the work Amanda has done with our son. She has a wonderful way with him, he loves her, and she intuitively knows which strategies will work for his particular needs and personality. I love that I am learning a new way of helping him at home. Would recommend to absolutely anyone!

  Our daughter receives speech services through her school district so this was our first experience using a private speech practice. The services that we received were beyond my expectations and I am so grateful that I sought out private speech therapy. Amanda is energetic and fun, creating so many ways to engage her students. One specific example of how child-centered Amanda is- my daughter was practicing making correct sound blends. Every time she made the blend correctly Amanda painted one of her nails! For a five year old little girl, this was the perfect way to connect with and engage her in the speech lesson! My daughter participated in one-on-one speech services with Amanda as well as a literacy group with another child that she absolutely loved. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at her job providing tools that my daughter and our family are using in our everyday life. I would highly recommend Amanda Townsend for your speech services!

  My son, Craig participated in the literacy camp and he had so much fun he forgot he was learning! Amanda is full of energy and teaches the kids in fun ways. The “rules” of letters/sounds my son learned in camp changed his reading and writing almost immediately. Now when he is stuck on a word he can go back to the “rules” and figure it out on his own. Highly recommend Amanda!!

  Amanda clearly has a passion and gift for what she does! My 4 year old son has been going to speech class with her since April 2018. After choosing her by chance while looking for speech therapists, I couldn't have made a better choice! She's been an encouraging factor for not only my son, but also me as his parent. The fact that every week she has a new way to incorporate his speech tools, a new twist on a speech game, and new ways for him to bring awareness to his speech has been refreshing. Seeing how she articulates things for him to understand and grasp on to, is her gift at best. I am looking forward to my son's continued progress with Amanda...and if you are looking for someone to reach your child on every level they need, do not think twice about picking Simply Spoken. This has been such a positive experience for us!
