Our family is forever grateful to Lonnie and her staff (HHA’s) for providing care to our 94 year old Aunt while she was dealing with a compression fracture in her back. She was dealing with pain and mobility issues, which we didn’t feel comfortable having her being alone.
Also, due to the pandemic she, as well as family, did not feel comfortable with her going to any rehab facility to recuperate. So, we reached out to Spirit of the Heart. Lonnie and her team clearly understood & embraced our goal of maintaining safety & her desire to stay in her home during the transition to her previous level of independence and comfort.
Lonnie was able to set up 24/7 care. This was very comforting to our Aunt & our family to know she was being well cared for and safe. Lonnie and staff were extremely qualified, compassionate, focused on goals and so friendly.
Lonnie kept lines of communication open with our Aunt’s progress & would include us in all plans while moving forward. Lonnie was always readily available & quick to respond if we had any questions.
Of note, our Aunt did achieve her goals, with the help of Lonnie & her staff and is back to her previous independence and doing well. Our family & Aunt highly recommend their services. :)

I reached out to Spirit of the Heart after my 95 year old father-in-law suffered two fractured vertebrae and needed overnight home health care. Owner, Lonnie Stowell responded promptly, and very soon came with her prospective HHA to meet with our family. We were very pleased and comforted by Spirit of the Heart’s humane, personal approach to care giving. The other, corporate providers I had spoken with were much harder to reach, left me waiting for a return call, were full of rules that did not serve clients, and charged higher fees. After meeting with Lonnie and her HHA we knew this was the right fit. My father-in-law loved his care provider, Hailey, and my 88 year old mother-in-law was able to sleep well at night, knowing her husband was well cared for. Hailey also made sure everything was clean and in order for my in laws to start their day. My mother-in-law said, “She is terrific and worth every penny!” Lonnie personally backs up her staff so that a client never goes without care. Hailey picked up needed supplies on her own time, and both Lonnie and Hailey kept me notified and were always easy to reach.
