I've been seeing Dr. B for about 7 years. I came to him as a bit of a last resort after going in circles with traditional medicine for years. Feeling exasperated after being prescribed prescription drug after prescription drug resulting in little to no health improvement, (but increasing in side effects) I decided to try something different. Dr. Byron is different. While he used to practice traditional medicine, he is no longer interested in masking symptoms with pharmaceuticals, but getting to the root of why you are having the symptoms. He does more testing than any doctor I have ever been to, but that's because he does not guess what's wrong with you. He'll sit there and spend an hour explaining why you're feeling the way you're feeling according to the test results and then he comes up with a plan. Much of it is education. After much detoxing and supplements, I feel much better and my test results show that. Holistic medicine is not a quick fix. By putting into practice all that I have learned, we rarely need to see a traditional doctor anymore. This is how medicine should be. ***UPDATE***. I would just add that to get the most bang for your buck with him, get as much blood work done ahead of time as possible and bring the results to him. Also, go to his office and purchase a hair test about 4-5 weeks before your appointment. He will have you do these things anyway, so just be ready for your first appointment. That way you don't have to come back again right away. Yes, it can be pricey upfront and so are the supplements. But often, you only have to take them for a short time. Others for a longer time. It depends on what you're dealing with. The supplements can be a little bit of trial and error. Just remember, this is not traditional medicine. If you want a quick fix, this is not the place. You can't fix life long issues in one visit. Lastly, he's a small private practice with limited staff. They are very busy and sometimes drop the ball. It's ok to remind them you need something. They don't have the amount of staff you are used to at a traditional hospital.

Dr. Byron is a "true" doctor in the purest sense of the word. He lives out the Hypocratic Oath every day with every patient. Not only is he credentialed from Northwestern Medical School but he has amazing discernment and wisdom as he seeks to figure out the root causes of illness. He practices integrative medicine in a way which brings true and lasting healing. Most doctors review medical tests and give a diagnosis without having the time to ask questions and listen, but Dr. Byron asks a lot of good questions and spends time listening so that he has the whole picture--body, soul and mind.--from which to give the best medical or, common sense, advice. He doesn't just provide the next set of expensive tests or medicines as the answer. My health has radically improved over the years that I have followed his medical advice. God has used his "healing hands and mind" to set me free from auto-immune issues. Recently, when having abdominal pain, my traditional doctor recommended all sorts of tests and scared me to death. Dr. Byron listened and ordered blood tests to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary and then said, "Why don't you take 3 days off work and check back with me on Monday and see where your abdominal pain level is at." Well, after getting some distance from my work and, thereby calming down my mind from the fight/flight syndrome, my abdominal pain subsided to nothing by Monday thus preventing the need for expensive medical tests. The blood tests confirmed that nothing was wrong." I have countless examples over the years of his cutting-edge approaches to health bringing healing in my life and this is after many years of trying all kinds of alternative doctors. Sound medical advice along with cutting-edge integrative medical approaches is what Dr. Byron provides. I am extremely grateful to God for having him as my doctor! He is worth every $ spent. It is true that you pay for what you get. I highly recommend Dr. Byron.

Dr. Byron is an excellent and caring doctor who takes the time to find and treat the root cause of each of his patients' symptoms. He truly listens to his patients and makes insightful observations about his patients and their test results. He educates his patients in an in depth but practical way about the role of nutrition in the function of their bodies. My two children and I have been seeing Dr. Byron for a number of years and he is by far the most outstanding physician I've encountered. You don't have to wait until you're sick to see him. He helps you prevent illness by identifying individual ways to support your health based on your test results and helps you come up with an individualized wellness plan based on your own body's needs. Dr. Byron is very knowledgable. He is always reading research and is not afraid to change course if he learns something new that would change his recommendations. Also, he empowers his patients to understand and take charge of their own bodies and health with the help of his guidance. This is truly the mark of a great doctor. I'm thankful to have found Dr. Byron. He is a gem in our community and I highly recommend him as a physician.

Dr. Byron is excellent and very knowledgeable. My wife and I both see him, and he is easy going, friendly, and very good at explaining how the body works and what it needs to function properly. He is passionate about diagnosing, treating, and eliminating the root issues, not just covering up the symptoms as conventional doctors do. He helps break down the intimidation of self care and equips us with the knowledge and tools necessary to support a healthy life. We would without question or hesitation recommend him to any friends or family looking for a quality health care provider!
