If you have a chance, or while you're down at the Coirnne Reid Owen Transit Station in Racine, please feel free to read the dedication and biography on the memorial plaque and life time achievements in relation to Mrs. Reid Owen's. We greatly thank her here in Racine for all of her glorious works.
A safe, clean, open, transit hub. Busses seemed on time and easily transferred. There is a nice indoor station for waiting, with restrooms and snack machines. It is also located in our historic train station. It's a neat building and place to see.
Good but their bus schedules were all in Spanish language only, not one there was written in English. Those schedules in Spanish format didn't help me one bit.
This is America, why should we have to learn how to speak a foreign language, instead, have the foreigners learn to speak English. If we all would go to their countries, we would have to speak that language of that particular country, those foreigners who come to America should be forced to learn to speak English before coming to America.
What made me stop here was the old Chicago & NorthWestern railway station as seen from State street on the South. Worth taking pictures and looking around for railfans or those interested in railroad history. Remember to stay off the tracks as you never know when a train may come by.
My husband and I am giving 4 stars for the very reason that there is one particular bus driver that is rude and very unprofessional. There was a couple of times this driver flew right by me without stopping and i was standing at the bus stop waiting and i had to cancel my appointment because of her actions.
Inside the transit center its clean with a couple of vending machines and plenty of places to sit. You can smoke here but you have to get away from the where you get on and off the buses. Ive never had any big issues.
