I haven't been to a place like this since I was a kid and the experience has been sorely missed. There is just something about the small and atmosphere of an "old-school" barber shop that you just can't get in a chain setting. Bob cuts hair excellently and the conversation is always fresh. Haven't been anywhere else since a coworker recommended I stop in. I might be coming in tomorrow Bob!

(September 25, 2018, 6:28 pm)Ok so if you were raised in the 80's and remember the days of barber shops and hair salons. Mom and sis went to the hair salon to get pretty and Dad took you to the barber shop to cut your mop! The magazines to read while you waited were about golf, cars, or girls in swimsuits. It was just men waiting to get their hair cut! They talked about the Dukes of Hazard , hunting, muscle cars, and of course gorgeous women. Well all that has seem to disappeared from society. It has been replaced with cookie cutter stylists. Every place i have gone in the last 30 years has been a commercialized chain of hair salons that do unisex hair cuts. These other places have a high turn over with teenagers cutting your hair and trying to make every guy look like Justin Bieber. Even if you found a person you could get to cut your hair right, the next time you go in they have quit and you get the Bieber doo again, from some other air head who can't cut hair!.... It got to the point I just started shaving my head. Well then I found Captain's Chair North, it was like walking into a place I haven't been to in years an actual barber shop! Bob is great at what he does and my hair looked phenomenal when done. I will forever be a customer to Bob for all my haircuts in the future. No more teenie boppers who would rather be checking their phone than cutting my hair!
