My grandmother recently moved to St. Monica’s. Whenever I’d ask her how she was adjusting, she’d always say, “Well they sure are good to me here!” The facility sits on a spacious grounds with many mature trees. Last autumn she was able to enjoy fresh-picked hickory nuts like she used to when living on the farm.
The staff at St. Monica’s has always been welcoming. They take great care of their residents and are sensitive to their individual needs. I always feel very comfortable asking questions of the nurses and other staff and they are always kind and responsive. The facility is beautiful and I believe this to be the best senior living facility I’ve ever visited. I felt lucky to have my grandmother living here and always enjoyed visiting her.
St. Monica’s has an amazing community of nurses, staff, and residents. I volunteered there during high school and college in the activities department and was so impressed with the variety of activities we did to include everyone. I got to know many residents on a personal level and enjoyed their company, stories, and laughter. It truly is a great place that is clean, safe, and friendly.
I had a relative who was living at St. Monica's assistant living, and the joy on her face made the family at ease with the tough decision they had to make when finding a place for her to call home. The excitement when family visited was all we could ask for in return, as she described the many activities they have available. The changes a family goes through is extremely difficult and we often felt bothersome when asking questions, but the assistant administrator Sharlene (not sure if I spelled her name correctly)makes this place top notch. I never once was not greeted with the biggest smile a person could ask for. The time she spent explaining every detail caused us to be at ease, and we knew this was the place for her. I cannot express my gratitude to the entire staff enough and I actually miss coming there, but maybe someday i myself will be calling this place Home.
I volunteer at St Monica’s for one reason only, l love it there. Have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and there’s always something going on. When it’s time for me to give up my own home I hope they have a vacancy. Oh, forgot to mention I eat there often and love the food, especially the liver and onions????.
