Great place to hike in winter/early early spring when Ice Cliffs form and view of the gorge is best without leaves on trees. For a great hiking route with directions and pictures check out the "surf_n_turf" account on Instagram
Parking lot easily found by the old silo nearby. Both when parking and upon returning. The beginning is an ant utopia, I've never seen so many thriving anthills before. Once you veer off path at the larger lake and go downhill to find the rock outcroppings and tiny water fall / streams , it's so worth the trip. Absolutely beautiful. Expectat at least an hour or better 2-3 here.
Nice and quiet! A lot of ticks out so be prepared! Nothing is marked for a trail so we just walked down and back up. It is posted that it is a nature conservancy.
