Alliance BJJ St. Croix/ Olson's Judo Academy

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I started training Jiu Jitsu a couple weeks ago and came in knowing absolutely nothing. Both Brian and Andy are so professional and patient. They along with the other members are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a welcoming gym look no further than here!

Great Space full of super friendly people!! Brian is a great instructor and it shows in the ability of even his newest students. I highly recommend you check this place out! Great for beginners and experienced BJJ practitioners alike.

I do the kickboxing and muay thai classes at Alliance (St. Croix Striking Academy) and it has been very fun. I wasn't sure what kind of environment it would be, but the first day every one was kind and welcoming (even though we were essentially kicking eachother the whole time). Josh and Melvin are not just great teachers, but great dudes!

If you are on the fence about trying a class. Just show up and then decide! You will feel challenged, and proud that you did so afterwards.

Below is a photo I took of another student at a tournament. There's more than just classes involved. Martial arts classes here are just a doorway into an amazing world if humble awesome people, and a community.

Also. I never liked cardio because it's stupid and boring. So if you want to "get fit" you might as well do it here, learn a real life skill (how to fight), and have fun. I get a better cardio work out than anything else I've ever done, and it is sort of "free" to me because I never dreaded doing it, and I do it more often via kickboxing than any other medium. Getting fit is just secondary to having fun and learning a skill.

Our young daughter started with Alliance about 2 months ago and wow! What an exciting two months it’s been. We love staying to watch her practice. She laughs, she smiles, she’s focused, she’s competitive and challenged each class. Coach Brian and Coach Ray do a tremendous job teaching these young kids complex (to me anyway) skills and also holding them accountable to behavior expectations. We are so happy to have found this gym and knew on day 1 it was the right fit for my daughter and us. We never tried any other martial arts gyms. Highly recommend Alliance!

I dropped in here on a Friday afternoon for an open gym in my quest to grapple in all fifty states. As a visitor from just across the border I was greeted with open arms by Brian and a handful of folks taking a break from work so I won't tag anyone by name! Super clean gym with great high ceilings, lots of windows, and the ability to let in fresh air with garage doors that even had screens is a nice touch. The Fuji mats are fantastic and seem brand new which is great to see owners offering top quality gear for their students. Anyway, great gym and great people and it's awesome to see a law enforcement centric gym because they really should be training grappling arts --it's a matter of survival!
