  Nice place, finding parking is a bit hard. The menu rotates, so it's nice to try new Japanese tapas. Beer selection could improve. The menu is well priced

  Delicious food, excellent service. We all got ramen and shared shishito peppers and they were amazing. More of a fusion and modern feel than authentic Japanese cuisine, but would recommend and plan to go back.

  Stumbled on this place after a show at New Parish. Ramen was excellent. Cool vibe, feels very upscale but prices are very reasonable. Loved it. Will go back.
  
  Updating Review: Went a few weeks ago (December, 2018). Service was somewhat lacking. Someone took our order for drinks, then never came back. Had to reorder drinks. Food was still very good. Dropped a star because of service issues.

  This place is, in a word..."perfect." The ambiance is serene even though it is busy. The trance music in the background is just enough to allow conversation and create an atmosphere.
  The wait staff is knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. And of course, the food is delightful. A little sloce of noodle heaven in downtown Oakland.
  Simply remarkable!
