    Super clean rooms. Walking distance to the river and downtown Kern. Blackout curtains would have helped keep out the heat.

    Booked this place on accident (I thought I booked the place I stayed at 5 years ago), but I was not disappointed. Not gonna share which "room" I stayed in because I don't want it overbooked in the future, but if you find the gem at this place you'll know what I'm talking about.

    Front desk was friendly and helpful. My room was clean! And cozy! Some areas are dated (may get an update soon), and some have been recently updated, but the stay was amazing nonetheless.

    Across from the river and close to town, I'm definitely booking again for a family stay, only when this room is available.

    We booked last minute on our way to Kernville and actually stayed at the "sister property" the riverview inn which is right next door. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Cute, roomy, clean-definition of charming! It has a nice sized front yard, covered porch, little patios in the back, ac, an adorable fireplace and it's right across from the river. We were traveling with the grandparents and there was 6 of us and we all fit comfortably. The woman who took our reservation was very helpful and pleasant and when we got in late and had trouble with the code, the after hours service was so friendly and helpful. We're so bummed we were only in town for a night but plan on going back soon!!

    Beautiful location and fabulous room. Large room, clean and with character. As a tourist, this is what we hoped to find. We are so sorry we booked only one night and can’t stay any longer due to our schedule.
