Came here twice during a trip to Avalon, the first time for dinner on a weekday evening, then again for lunch. Really appreciate the emphasis on fresh, local cuisine. Just a couple of tables were filled for dinner and the kitchen closed maybe a half hour early. Lunch was pretty busy due to the cruise ship crowds, but we still got seated quickly. Food was prepared quickly.

Ahmed was wonderful, friendly, welcoming, conversational.
He recommended the Fish Collar, which we had never had before, but really enjoyed. The fried fish is rich in flavor. The Grilled shrimp Thai salad was light and flavorful. The Rattlesnake roll was solid.

The kitchen closed while we were eating, but Ahmed told us to take our time with eating while the staff began closing up the restaurant. While checking in about food and our reason for coming to Avalon, we disclosed that it was for a birthday. Ahmed went back to the kitchen and then returned to tell us that he asked the kitchen to stay open to make a dessert and would be bringing out a lava cake! Incredibly sweet and thoughtful and made the night.

We returned for lunch and split the Poke bowl and Seafood Cioppino. Both were fantastic and amply portioned, the cioppino was delicious, the mixed seafood was awesome and the broth had just enough heat to have awesome flavor without being overly spicy. The poke bowl was fresh and fantastic.

Possibly the best fish and chips on the island. Shrimp burrito was so good and made up for the delayed service. Fries were fried to a crisp and a good side dish that goes well with any entrée. Place can get busy during meal times.

Quick seating , polite staff , amazing food. Probably some of the freshest fish I’ve had.

Only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the sushi. I feel like the rice to fish ratio is off with it being more rice. Aside from that , the banging shrimp , ceviche, fish sandwich were all good options !!

Delicious and definitely reccomend seafood lover to check it out. Fresh fish cooked everyday. Had the sashimi platter, swordfish (fried), and yellow fin tuna grilled. Don't go there late if you want the main lobster dish because they will run out!!!

This was a great lunch stop, I was able to grab a seat at the window bar facing the ocean as there was a larger party occupying the main space for a birthday. I ordered the ceviche and also the fish and chips, both dishes were reasonably priced. What I did not anticipate was how huge the portions were, it was enough to share with a few people! I thought the avocado on the ceviche paired perfectly with the acidity and the tortilla chips were delicious on their own. I opted for the halibut fish & chips, the fries were amazingly crispy and the halibut was a different treat being well-breaded and not greasy. I paired this with the hibiscus cider and it was the perfect finish. Despite the restaurant being busy and only having one server at the time, the gentleman who was working ensured to make his rounds to check in on everyone - very endearing and kind customer service!
