Piano Lessons with Valery in Calabasas

I have been taking piano lessons from Val since last November, he is a very organized and talented teacher. He is not only a professional pianist but also a composer.

Val is truthfully the best teacher I have ever worked with. He is so incredibly well educated in music and knows exactly what he is teaching you. I have learned so much from him in such a short amount of time and I have really felt myself grow as an artist. He is so supportive and helps bring out the best in me with my music. I can’t believe that I was so lucky to have come across him because he is teaching me exactly what I have been wanting to know and I would not be where I am at with my music without him.

Val is simply amazing. My son has been taking lessons from him since 2017. Of course Val is one the most talented pianists in the world – you can look up his credentials or just hear him play – but it is his character that makes him truly phenomenal. My son is on the autism spectrum and has complex learning challenges, and Val is so incredibly patient and positive with him, and treats him like any of his other extremely talented students. Val cares deeply about all his students and wants them to succeed, even if that looks different for each person. We are very fortunate that we found Val and that he has continued with our family. If you have the opportunity to study under him, don’t pass it up!

My daughter started taking lessons from Val when she was 9 years old. Val has been an inspiration for her to stick to piano and made tremendous progress. She started competing and won many local, national and international major competitions starting at age 10. Now she's in high school and we have moved out of state. Val has been teaching her through Zoom lessons and in person whenever we return LA. Val sets goals for his students and pushes them to achieve their highest potential. He is very dedicated and always does what's best for his students. Outside his teaching he has been a great mentor to my daughter for goal settings in general. We can't thank him enough for being the ideal teacher for our daughter. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to pursue music education.

I cannot speak highly enough of Val's piano lessons! My daughter absolutely loves them and has developed her playing skills so much under Val's guidance. Not only that, but Val has also helped boost her confidence and encouraged her to try composing her own music. Val's approach to teaching not only focuses on playing technique but also emphasizes the importance of appreciating and enjoying music. Thank you, Val, for being such a wonderful teacher!
