I started working with Janice a year ago, when I was 62. Despite being an avid walker and hiker, I had limited upper body and core strength, my back hurt a lot of the time, and I had surprisingly poor endurance. My goals were general: improved fitness, balance, and strength.
Janice is a pleasure to work with. I especially appreciate how varied her workouts are, but while she plans every workout meticulously, she also observes, listens, and has the experience, knowledge, and sense to modify an activity instantly when needed!
After just one year, I’m so proud of my progress in all areas! Just standing up from the sofa or walking up the stairs, I feel how much stronger my legs and core have gotten. I can comfortably get my heart pumping faster than before, and I am much, much, steadier on my feet while hiking-- I rarely even use my hiking poles anymore!

I started working with Janice after being our of the gym for a great while, and she has been more than wonderful to work with. She is very encouraging (especially since I literally had to start from the bottom again) and friendly. She always has something new for me to do which is great and will even be kind enough to modify exercises specific to the level I am at.
