Stanlunds Inn & Suites

A great little old school motel in a lovely setting. Family owned and operated by the same family for many years. Rooms could stand a slight bit of updating, but still very comfortable and quiet. We stay there every year we go to Anza Borrego State Park.

The pool is a delight and although outside it was 111° the room was cool and comfy. The location is perfect and they were animal friendly so having my little 15 year old toothless dog with me there was a dream. It was a great stay.

The only thing I'd say is as a woman traveling alone, after 11pm they shut all the lights off so it gets pretty dark. Sharing so you're aware and can plan accordingly.

We love staying at Stanlunds when we head out to Borrego to off-road. Here are our highlights:
1. Dog friendly! Minimal pet fee allows us to bring our dogs along and keep them cool and safe in the air conditioned rooms while we go play in the dirt.
2. Pool! A great cool down on hot days and a beautiful poolside view once the sun sets.
3. Fantastic service! This is a family owned property and the owner is very personable, flexible, and kind.
4. Great location! Central to the restaurants downtown and lots of great access to offroading. Very close to the many sculptures as well, which my kids love.
5. Kitchenettes! Keep in mind, this is a budget friendly property, so don't expect glamour in the rooms. They are very modest, and we almost always encounter some crickets, but they meet our needs when staying for a night or two. The best part is that many rooms include kitchenettes, which make it easy for us to bring our own food and cook in our room (fridge, stove/oven, sink, microwave, furnished with plates and utensils).

This hotel experience was fantastic! There was one room left to book for the meteor shower weekend & it was perfect. Our room had a patio, kitchen, large TV, AC, a giant fan & a couch. It was perfect. We sat on the back patio looking at the stars and meteors before we went deeper into the darkness of the area. The kind people running the place were so nice and down to earth. For the price, room and location, nothing in town could beat it. The walls were concrete, so it was like we had our own nice apartment. Definitely coming to stay here again when we come back. 10/10

Great place to stay. The owners are the sweetest people you will ever meet and very accommodating.

The rooms are a little outdated but that's what gives the place a great vibe.

Very dog friendly, pool is clean, plenty of parking in front of your room. I've stayed here many times in the past and will stay many times in the future.
