The Palms at Indian Head

Beautiful Old School Hotel, Steakhouse, and Bar. Being nicely refurbished a little bit at a time. Great Job Mid-Century Vibe and look. Nice property and desert views forever. Use to stay here with my parents when I was a kid.

Had a great dinner at their restaurant, coyote steakhouse. Filet mignon delicious. My Mom's birthday.

Lovely quiet hotel with old-school class. You feel like you’ve stepped back into the 50s. We stayed in room 4 and it was clean and nice. We especially loved the huge pool and that we had the place almost to ourselves.

As everyone mentions definitely get the vibes of old time glam, plus it's so beautiful and quiet out by the massive pool on a hot summer day. I suggest steering clear of rooms 7 & 8 (back side) until remodels completed. I picked room 7 for more space but in hindsight could have done without it would have preferred the spectacular views rooms 1-5 (front side) provided (plus those rooms have been updated). The restaurant is not open until October but the menu is out and looks amazing, will come again late fall. Proximity to the famous Borrego Springs metals sculptures is bikable and they do rent reasonable priced bikes. Very interesting place to stay and staff was very friendly.
