  Not busy. Free parking, secluded beach with a lot of warning for waves. Great for tiny children. Surfers are farther out. It works for all kinds of activities. Joggers along the beach, but not very many people. We felt like it was our own personal beach.

  Love how accessible this beach is for kids. A cement ramp all the way to the sand, close bathrooms and a park. I also love how shallow the water is. My boys can go out really far the boogie board with the water still at their waste. Beautiful cliffs. One of my favorite beaches in San Diego.

  Not too crowded, it is kept clean and the life guards are vigilant. There is some good surf here too, not too big but good. There is quite a bit of wildlife along this stretch of beach so you are likely to see all manner of birds after the small clams. Up top there are some nice picnic benches and a play ground. There is not much parking there. You may have to go to the public lot across the street. This beach has been made wheelchair accessible and the lifeguard station at street level has a special beach wheel chair for loan. Dogs are not allowed at this beach if you want to hang out with your pupper the next beach access to the south in Del Mar by the Bridge is an off leash dog beach. There are also some great places to grab some lunch in walking distance.

  Great park/beach. Well kept. Small parking lot but with a good sized turn around to drop off and collect your beach goers. Appreciated the outdoor shower and clean restrooms. Easy access to the wide flat beach. Great view of the ocean and easy to keep an eye out for the kids. Added plus, easy beach access made hauling the beach gear much easier.

  Such a nice spot! A good place for families with little children. There is showers, restrooms, and playground. Parking is small and very crowded on weekends, be prepared to park on the street and walk a little more
