Monroe Elementary School

I graduated Monroe in 2017 and the staffs and teachers are great. I was in Chinese Immersion. I can't remember whats the name of my kindergarten teacher but my teachers through 1st to 5th grade where: Ms.Zhong(retired) Ms.Tang, Ms.Sun, Mr.Sun(retired, he taught 4th and 5th)

very very good school. My son is third grade in this school. The teacher is nice and the principal is very good. I will let my second daughter to this school next year.

I graduated from Monroe elementary in 1975. I went to Excelsior when the old Monroe was torn down & rebuilt. I knew & kept in touch with Mr Ryan, the school Principal. George he'd tell me to call him once I graduated Balboa. "Robert, call me George, Mr Ryan makes me feel old". I would say George, you are! (RIP). Good memories. My parents still live a block up on Edinburgh. Have a great school year staff & children. It's a wonderful school in a great environment which helps make it easy to learn. Puts you on course for a bright future.

An incredible bunch of devoted, loving, intelligent people run Monroe. My son is lucky to get to come here. He gets to learn Spanish through their immersion program. He gets to be surrounded by diversity. He gets to learn in a warm and nurturing environment.

Thanks to all the staff at Monroe. You do a wonderful, wonderful job.

My son is in 1st grade of Spanish Immersion. His teachers so far have been dedicated, talented, and outstanding. I'm so impressed by the diversity of the school community and how the school staff make it all work.
