  A lot of the kids are addicted to something, but other than that most the students are actually commited to learning and their future or realize how important it is sometime. Though it is a easy school, they still teach important skills for college and encourage creative and critical thinking which many schools do not.

  For the moment I will only speak of the aesthetics of the school because it is a beautiful beautiful beautiful school with a beautiful landscape that is always kept up by gardener's and clean of trash. The trees and all the plants look to be native to San Francisco as this school is set among the very top of Persia ave on the corner where beautiful historical McLaren Park is. This school is very well kept and is just in such a beautiful area it's hard not to appreciate. the down side is that it is not far from some of the historically crime drug ridden areas. I see this school and the kids and all that goes on and will say they are all typical teenagers leave school when it's over and not seen any trouble makers etc.

  The teachers, administrators and entire staff truly work hard to make sure all students achieve academic and personal goals.

  Nothing but accolades!!
  Three children attended CAT, three attended/attending colleges! One just graduated from USF with her B.A., in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Asian Studies. They all talk about the power point presentations, rubric grading system and the relationships they developed with the staff as part of their success. My graduate talks most about being able to travel to other countries to do research and community services, the internships’ relationships and about the help she received from her college counselor Mrs. Chapman (of whom I personally received multitude of compliments for the fantastic work she had done as a counselor from several scholarship donators and fund groups: saying how reliable she is and how worthy the students she recommends have been in comparison to other high schools.). As their parent I hope they continue: to work with their Parent Teacher Organization, their travel programs, physical education development programs, small class sizes, Rubric grading system, benchmark portfolios, presentations in Spanish and English, and most of all the college counseling that will ensure students success throughout their college years.
