Chancellor Hotel on Union Square

An older style boutique hotel that has a great barman Rory! Best conversations! The rooms are adequate and comfortable. The hotel is very central, I walked to pier 39 and passed through CHINA town and street markets on the way. Loved my experience ! Tell Rory the Kiwi traveler said hello!

Nice little older hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Rooms are a little older and washrooms are tight. My only complaint would be no coffee in the rooms. Means you have to go to the lobby in the morning to get it.
The bar is a nice spot to hang out before heading out for supper, staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Great place would come again.

This is one of my favourite hotels I have ever been to. It doesn't try to be flashy but it just does the basics right and then extra.

To start off with the location is perfect for San Francisco and next to everything you would need and very easy to get to from the airport.

The rooms are small but clean and quiet and have everything you could need.

The free coffee, tea, popcorn, cookies and cold water are just fantastic.

And all this for a very reasonable price, I would highly recommend.

This hotel was really great! It’s right by Union Square, which is a really great location. The hotel itself was very nice and accommodating. The room wasn’t huge, but it’s a really nice place to stay, and it was very clean. The staff was super friendly, and they put out complementary cookies, coffee, and popcorn for the guests. They also give you a buy one get one free coupon for the bar in the lobby, which was really nice to relax and meet some of the other guests. The bartender was also super friendly. Overall, I had a great night stay at the Chancellor Hotel and would definitely go back!

This is an absolutely amazing hotel in a great central location. The rooms are clean and have essentials that I haven’t seen in a lot of modern hotels. Hotel is old but very well taken care of and the staff here make the stay even better. The people at the front desk were very attentive in all the questions I had and the server Rory at the restaurant was very kind and professional. If you’re traveling to San Francisco and want a clean facility in a central location this is a great place on a budget. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back. Thank you once again to the staff at this location for making my stay very enjoyable!
