    I was based in Chicago and was looking to move to Denver. I didn't know anyone in this city in particular and was having a tough time finding a good apartment. Luckily, I got in touch with Erin & Rachel, they was able to find me an apartment that fit my needs. My transition from Chicago to Denver has been smooth thanks to the support of these folks from Fitzsimons south. I got to hear and the apartment was ready on time. We both love our new space and would highly recommend their services! 
    Thank you Erin, Rachel & Kristin for accommodating our housing needs and getting us exactly what we were looking for. We are so happy with our new place and community!

    Overall I like the apartment complex as a whole, but that doesn't mean I don't have my gripes about it.

    I moved in during the fall / winter months so pool hasn't been used yet but it and the surrounding area are kept clean from what I've seen.

    I love the fitness center and it has almost everything you need.

    The grounds in general are kept very clean so that's a big plus.

    Lighting around the complex is OK, though there are a few places I think it could be better (walk-ways for example).

    Parking is very good compared to the last place I lived in and I don't have to walk super-far to get to my vehicle (I have a garage building in front of the building I live in but normally don't have to walk more than half a building away).

    While the place is gated, the gates do break down for days at a time and are opened during periods when it is below freezing. Also the timing does allow two cars to get in during a cycle.

    Possibly my biggest issue with this place is the noise! My bedroom and bathroom wall shares with my neighbors bedroom and bathroom wall. There is seemingly NO sound insulation between the two apartments and I can hear a large amount of what is going on in my neighbors bedroom (from small things like phone calls and quiet conversations to larger things like yelling and parties). Upstairs and downstairs noise bleed-through is in the level expected when living in a multi-floor apartment complex. I can hear the dog running around in the apartment above me and the occasional loud argument but have never heard the TV or small conversation.

    The biggest thing that got me interested was the location. I'm moved from out of town, and didn't know the area, so I picked a place close to work and the highways (that I did know).
    Social: There are several events every month at the clubhouse, but I have my own social life, so I can't comment on them because I haven't been. There are problems with loud party people during the weekends (especially when it's warm), and in the summer when kids are out of school.
    Amenities: There is a great pool which reminds me of a resort hotel, and a very nice clubhouse. The is a bit small but, that means that it's empty most of the time.
    Maintenance: The maintenance team is a highlight of City Lights. They are constantly buzzing around cleaning, fixing, upgrading, etc. They respond fast, and you can request maintenance on the website.
    Safety: I'd say is 3.5 out of 5. There are gates, but cars/people can easily wait and tailgate behind a vehicle. Unfortunately in the summer that great pool/patio is overwhelmed with people who are obviously NOT residents, and I've seen 14 children unsupervised in the hot tub (not a particularly large tub). Teenagers/young adults often go unsupervised in the clubhouse and gym. Several times, I have found kids clearly too young to be exercising/lifting weights in the gym by themselves or with peers. In the summer there are parties in the clubhouse and being drunk and loud on the patio (more to come on the noise).
    Grounds: The grounds are very respectable and clean. I don't really notice them, so that means they are well maintained.
    Parking: Excellent where I park, but I understand on the other side of the property it's relatively limited and can be problematic.
    Value: I think it's a fairly priced, about a $1 per sq ft. It could be cheaper, but it's respectable.
    Quiet: The absolute biggest issue is noise. The walls are so thin! The architecture has bedroom against each other, and there is seemingly no sound damping whatsoever. Daily I hear conversations clearly from my neighbors. I have to work very early, so loud conversations, shouting, and partying from the neighbors is extremely annoying and ruins my peace of mind. The noise from upstairs neighbors is reasonable, it's the horizontal that is unacceptable. I would not recommend this community if you and your neighbors have different work schedules, you will have a noise problem.
    Location: For me is great. It's less than 10 minutes to work. I go north to the airport several times a month, and it is very easy to get on 225 to 70. I go to Colorado Springs at least once every other month, and it's very easy to get on 225 south to 25. It really depends on what your lifestyle and what things you want to be close are. I am very regimented, so living close to work, where I have to be 5 times a week, is very logical to me.
    Staff: The staff, management, maintenance, are all very nice, attentive, and genuinely want to help you.

    The management was an absolute breeze to work with, very attentive to all of our requests. The buildings themselves are very nice and clean. All the neighbors are very friendly and keep for a nice atmosphere. The complex is very secure and safe feeling. The proximity of the location to shopping and I-225 is ideal. I didn't appreciate how ideal it was until I moved and no longer had a super target 2 blocks down the road and freeway access to everywhere within seconds. I would move back in a heartbeat if I find another job in that area.
