Abraham Lincoln High School

I just graduated today from Lincoln. Thanks Ms.Chenoy for everything you’ve done for me, Thanks Ms.Elena Calvo-Blesa always believing in me and Thanks To ALHS for giving me a great two years! I’m going to be visiting because I will miss it. When the other schools accepted failure Lincoln made sure I was to succeed. Shoutout to all my friends and loved ones still here, Erica Fama in Drumline, Lendy Rios who I used to hang out with at lunch from time to time, J.C. Who held it down with me, Jonathan aka Smokey who would always crack me up ???? and the boy Cesar who would tell me some of the craziest stories and conspiracy theories. Also thanks to Mr.Gurule for the tough love and turning me from a fool into a man. I recommend Lincoln over any other school that I’ve been too. Lancer Til I Die!

After being kicked out of Excel Academy and being released from the Gilliam (juvie jail) Lincoln was my last option to graduate, Last year when Mr.Lopez was the athletic director he really showed caring, Always believing in me and helping me with what I need, And the dean Mr.Gurule (Who is a rough one at times) showed caring with tough love, I used to think he was picking on me when I realize that he was just trying to make me do good and stop being a fool, The population is mostly Hispanic (Mexican mostly) which is why our school is looked down by the Trump media, But in the end our school has approved, More students graduating (including me) and it doesn’t matter what race you are because no color is protected from ignorance nor corruption. There are classes taught in Spanish for non-English speaking people which is great because my belief is that anybody has a right to an education. Yes some of the students are delinquents (I know for a fact) But there are bad kids of all types at every school in the world, Bullying isn’t an issue here compared to Kennedy (Kennedy gives no one any disciplinary action but out of school suspension which is what they want.) While Lincoln will hold bad behavior accountable, My first offense for having an altercation with another student got me 3 days in ISS which is not fun at all but necessary. I highly recommend Lincoln considering that no other school really cares if you graduate or not besides Excel. I got my diploma and first job because of Lincoln. No other school gave me anything to take advantage of.
