Perfect, easy hike for people who want a little challenge but nothing too crazy! Good hike for kids too. There's some great views at the top of the falls! Watch out for rattlesnakes.
This is a great park, even in less than ideal weather. Visited on a foggy morning with light snow in the higher parts of the park. The trails are so well defined, this gave the opportunity to see the park in a very unique setting. Definitely will be returning!
Love this hike! Some elevation gain (~1400) but not straight up the whole time and very doable in a couple hours. The views at the top (and even on the way up as you get above the surrounding hills) are incredible. Hiked this early Jan so the mountain peaks were snow capped. $6 to park-machine takes card.
Really cool trail. However it should be called Horsetooth "Trickle". The water was trickling down the side of the mountain. I was cool, but don't expect a true water fall.
This trail is amazing. Great sights of mountains and trees and even some animals (deer or caribou or something like that) BUT WARNING if you're going to see the waterfall, don't go in the summer. It is only a small stream and some drips going down holy cow was that a little bit disappointing. But I mean still really nice sights, just don't go JUST for the waterfall cause you're gonna be sad

A short trail that leads visitors to scenic views of the Horsetooth Falls in season. Visitors seeking ample views of Horsetooth Falls won't want to miss out on this short trail. Beginning from the southern terminus at an intersection with the Horsetooth Rock Trail, follow this path as it branches to the east.
After 0.3 miles, the trail forks: Horsetooth Falls Trail veers right here, crossing a ridge and then dropping through open grasslands where cacti and Next, the trail bends north to follow the course of Spring Creek Canyon, then gently descends to cross the small creek. After climbing a short distance...
A short afternoon hike along the Horsetooth Falls Trail - a 20 minute drive from Fort Collins. Stunning scenery; the local wildlife (two Prairie Rattlesnakes) were unfortunately not so welcoming. We passed up the chance to salsa dance to their unique beat and proceeded homeward in single file, eyes on the...
