A golden statue can be seen for miles away, the light at night can now be seen as far as Carpenter / CR 392. The church owned expansive properties is usually lit late into the night filling the local area with light for blocks. This site : 15.69 acres, Total Floor Area_ 42,000 square feet, includes rather large expensive fountain, pristine palace gardens outside. The interior boast of fine furnishings of carved hard woods, stained glass, crystal chandeliers that rival the finest mansions, plush carpeting and divine area rugs, topped with fine marble features. This site was officially rezoned from a residence zoning the Urban Estate zoning to accommodate the temple. Plans called for a 30,389-square-foot temple rising 112 feet to the top of the angel Moroni statue. One resident asked that the steeple be lowered to 100 feet, but the church stated, the steeple height is acceptable, because other landmark buildings in the city are taller. The Church did agree to turn off lighting of the steeple and angel Moroni statue by 10:00 p.m. The impact of traffic for local neighbors has increased, as well as the light pollution this complex emits.
