Crags Trail Head

Crags Campground is a popular 4-season destination, even (perhaps especially) in the winter. Dog friendly. The campground is closed in the winter, but free parking is available 1.1 miles down the road from the Devil's Playground and Pike's Peak trailhead and 0.6 miles from the Raspberry Mountain trailhead. This time of year the hiking with microspikes and snowshoes is wonderful. The trail up to Pike's Peak is available for the more adventurous hikers. Often gorgeous conditions for cross country skiing or hiking up and snowboarding down various trails. Of course, check the weather in advance and come prepared! When checking the weather, the closest town is Divide, CO.

Beautiful well maintained trail. It is a good workout for horses . Parking on Weekends gets very crowded.

Nice drive to and from. Trail pretty easy to navigate to. Decent size dirt parking lot. Trail itself varies in degree of difficulty. Beautiful scenery along the way. Definitely worth the drive and hike. Bring plenty of water and snack.

This was a great hike. Some cool places for a great view. Great spots for a picnic as well!

Easy, but feels like you did something. Plus lots of places to peel off and climb stuff. Kid friendly. Can be very crowded especially on weekends though. There is now more parking but not a ton still. Trail is > 10K feet so bring water and an extra layer. It was 20 degrees cooler than Divide on the trail. But also exposed so can get hot in other parts of the trail. Can't wait to come back again.
