Quiet nature trail but only for walking- no bicycles unfortunately which we discovered after we biked for 30 minutes to get there. 😕 Lots of blue jays. No picnic tables or restrooms. Relaxing 😊
My wife and I always enjoy our visits. It’s a peaceful walk through nature in Tamarac. It’s not a long trail.
It’s a paved trail. A ramp halfway through takes you on a decking that would make it easy for strollers and wheelchairs.
There are a few benches for sitting along the trail.
We always take our time and appreciate wild life around us. We always observe plenty of bird types, squirrels, butterflies, and etc.
They have a few displays with what kind of wildlife is in the area. They state grey fox’s and owls are in the area.
This is a small urban natural area that is well reviewed! I always see Butterflies and often Dragonflies too! On this visit I spotted the Zebra longwing and Giant Yellow Swailowtail Butterflies! Beautiful tall Pines too! As a local the only negative is that the back area Boardwalk can be aTeen hangout spot after school and even a Sat afternoon. A small group will hang out smoking. So if you don't mind passing by them, then it's fine. It is the only nature trail where I have seen that. I was there at 12 on a weekday and it was fine!
This is a small loop to walk. There are signs with QR codes through the loop that link you to informative YouTube videos to enjoy during your visit. Beautiful plant life and scenery the entire walk.
