Great great place to go stretch your legs see the wildlife do a little walking bring a family or just go by yourself or somebody that you like
Our two person trip, A four and a half hour trip kayaking from Sergeant's Park to trout Creek was quite an adventure. A lot of obstacles to overcome and one area we had to get out of the kayak and push it under a log and get back in. Very good flow even though the water was quite low the first of March. Several 10 to yes 14' Gators. Most Small but still got our attention. Beautiful birds and river changed from wide to almost creek like. It's an adventure just be prepared to go with the flow.
This park is awesome! Great view, wild alligators and a lot of challenges if you like kayaking. Thanks to the park rangers I recovered all my kayak gears. Very honest human being work at this place.
Great little park.. has excellent kayak launch & one-way rentals. They pick you up down-river and drive you back to your car... Tons of gators to add to your adventure floating effortlessly with the current to pickup point! Just $2 admission fee to this county park where you may also fish the river from a boardwalk.. Much better than paying $8 admission to Hillsborough River State Park where boardwalk bridges and pool have been shut down since Hurricane Irma, which was 8 years ago..😉
Lots of gators and elderly life. Beautiful woods. Did rub bottom of boat alot on submerged logs. Loved it though!
