Such a great place to get yourself exploring the mangroves for the first time! So easy to walk in and rent a kayak and get out into the tunnels!! Loved it. Make sure you go to the jellyfish stream!! They aren’t kidding! There are jelly fish just under the water resting and wiggling! Absolutely worth a few hours! Two hours of kayak rental are enough to do a great path trough the mangroves, I think it cost 40 for my husband I to use the double for two hours! Great showers just outside . Love it! Thank you Florida state parks for making this accessible to so many! Just listen so carefully to the directions when the guy give you the map and ask any questions you can think of.

Overall the experience was great. Kayak went as expected with no issues. Had fun with family and friends. Mangroves and several animals observed.

Beautiful....we kayaked...the map is not very clear...the trails not well marked ended up in a main waterway....added level of difficulty with waves from speeding boats...our bad...beautiful preserve... very clean and staff was excellent...
