(January 1, 2023, 9:28 pm)What a wonderful hike! About 5 miles of rugged, yet "doable" trails that kept things interesting, and a beautiful scenic overlook at the top, which made our efforts more than worthwhile!

(October 9, 2022, 8:10 pm)This was a well marked trail! We went up the boot trail, which I believe was marked with blue. It was labeled moderate but was a more easy as it was uphill, but was dirt and packed with minimal obstacles.
The view at the summit was nice with a good photo op!
We went down the trail marked strenuous with the Fatman Squeeze. It recommended hiking poles. There was one area with rocks that required some more hands inclusion for traversing. But overall, it was pretty similar to the boot trail. So, more moderate with the inclusion of the rocks.
We enjoy it as it had pretty trees and foliage!
There was ample parking—very nice gravel lot with a port-o-potty -

(June 27, 2022, 5:48 pm)Easy parking with an entertaining hike to the top. There are a few steep descents here with lots of rocks, so this hike feels a bit longer than the mileage might suggest. The view from the top is great.

(April 25, 2022, 1:03 pm)Great hike takes about an hour to the top. Lookout for the turn up hill to continue the trail, there's a poorly marked spot which will lead you downhill into private property. Use the Alltrails app and it will show you when you're off the trail

(November 16, 2021, 11:18 am)Pine Mountain is always a great place to go hiking, you definitely want to bring a good backpack with you with water and some nonperishable snacks. You will enjoy the hike to the David Archer overlook. You can see Stone Mountain and Kennesaw Mountain from the top.
