(September 8, 2018, 12:33 pm)Very nice 2 mile gravel trail. 1 loop. Gently rolling hills with nice views. About 10% is shaded. Several benches and other places to sit and enjoy the view. Not a huge parking lot. 1 unisex bathroom (outhouse style) by the parking lot. If necessary, about half way through is a spur that will take you to the truck stops at the tollway & Russell Road.

The Lake County Forest Preserves' Board of Commissioners approved a land purchase at their March 16 meeting that expands Pine Dunes Forest Preserve in Antioch to approximately 281 acres. The Board approved purchasing a 28-acre addition (Keating property) to Pine Dunes.
