I have read the previous comments and am quite surprised how different my experience has been with Deckard Homes now known as R Place 4 U.
My experience with Deckard/R Place 4 U over the last four years has been beyond any rental experience I have had previously. When I moved into my little home, the place had been brought into move-in condition. Every room, appliance, nook and cranny had been cleaned thoroughly. New carpet was laid in the living area, bathroom updated, new linoleum in the kitchen along with brand new gas stove. One very minor thing - the kitchen cupboards and counter are dated - but they are in good condition, so no real complaints.
Any time I have contacted Ranatta Raper, property manager, I have received a quick response and an adequate and timely action. The maintenance staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of my time and space. They listen to any suggestions and/or concerns I may have and are always careful to clean up after themselves after making any needed repairs.
Overall, I am very grateful for my little rented space and for Deckard/R Place 4 U, after having owned homes for over 35 years previously.

We have lived here 4 years and Love it! We get rapid, thorough maintenance. The office does a Great job.
Update: after our move out I was very please that we got over half of our deposit back and agreed with everything they charged us for as our fault. Overall we had a great experience with them and they were very transparent from the beginning with any issues they knew about. Would recommend.
We have had a great experience with them so far. They obvioulsy care about their homes enough to listen to feedback and to come out quickly to fix issues. (Even expensive ones) I would recommend them above other companies.
I rented with Deckard for 3 years at 2 different properties and they were awesome to work with. Whenever we had a maintenance problem, no matter how small, they were out there the next day to fix it. Also, their pricing is very fair for the Bloomington area and many of my friends were shocked to hear how cheap our rent was for the quality of home and location! They worked with us to fix several problems and were always kind and courteous. They went the extra mile for us a few times as well, which is almost unheard of in the rental market in Bloomington. All in all, if you treat them with respect, they will treat you with respect and I always highly recommend friends to look at their properties if they are in the market.
