  Marsha (owner/operator) was great. I real pleasure. River view and river walk were amazing. Wonderful little town with friendly people. Very peaceful and safe environment.
  
  Keep in mind, we were probably in the smallest room. It was pretty cramped and the bathroom was very small. It was worth the $70/night we paid, but I would definitely upgrade on the next trip.
  
  The room was relatively clean, but there were some cobwebs in the corners of the room and some trash left under the bed.

  What a gem of a place! Took a road trip and found this place. The Lady that helped us was very kind and happy to fulfill couple requests we had. The view is amazing as it sits right on the river. The small town is very cute to walk around and there is a casino within 10 minute walk. The building is very cool as it was built as a ship captains home in the 1800s. What a refreshing change of pace from box hotel's with no personality. As a side note, it is dog friendly for those that travel with dogs. Would absolutely stay again.

  Great place to stay. Felt like your a guest at someone's house and not a hotel. Porch on the 2nd floor was awesome. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their stay here. We will be staying here again.

  This historical hotel was an amazing hidden gem. Would love to return.
  However, our last night there was Very disappointing: a large group was disruptive, very loud, loud music.
  They continued even after we complained. Sadly, our last night there was not pleasant 😢

  We love everything about this hotel! Marsha, the owner, is fantastic. She has an eye for details that you won't find in another hotel. Cozy extra blankets, snacks, different teas, binoculars on the second floor porch. The list is endless. The town is like a step back in time. Great food, shops, the locals are all friendly! You're a quick walk to the casino and golf courses. The ferry will take you to Rabbit Hash KY. The river view is beautiful. It's a fantastic, quiet retreat when you're feeling overwhelmed. I just can't say enough about it. Very clean, historic hotel! Definitely worth a trip to enjoy Rising Sun!
