Blue Ocean Faith Church Ann Arbor

We stopped in here today for the first time, we were welcomed by many people and the Pastor sought is out after the sermon to introduce herself and personally welcome us. The message was great and really spoke to me, music was wonderful and it was the most welcoming church I have ever attended. Will be back!

What a beautiful, compassionate, open, and joyful community of people! This is a church that truly believes that all people are made in God's image, and as a result is one of the most loving and thoughtful church home I have ever known. Fully LGBTQ inclusive. Creative children's program. Casual and friendly. Good mix of traditional, contemporary, smart and accessible. Excited to meet and involve newcomers (you won't feel new for long...I'm horribly shy and and I always feel confident and wanted when I'm there!). One of the few places I've ever been that truly and eagerly embraces everyone.

I am so glad to have found a place where everyone, including my gay son, is welcome and affirming in all capacities. I am connected to the Sunday service via online streaming of the Sunday service. I love the music, the genuine warmth of the pastors, their great sermons and wonderful music! I'm just bummed that I don't live close enough to attend regularly. I hope to visit in person sometime soon.

After having tried out 11 + churches in Washtenaw County, I found Blue Ocean Faith. Three years later I'm still proud to call it my spiritual home. The environment is safe, loving & welcoming to ALL.

Both Pastors bring diversified perspective into weekly sermons based on real-life experiences and theologically rich backgrounds. Their passion for the Lord is infectious and their humor is refreshing.

The Worship music is amazing! If you're feeling down or simply want to be lifted in the Holy Spirit, the music will carry you.

Let's not forget, the dress attire is casual! Wear what makes you feel comfortable. :)

I promise no matter who you are, you will leave this place feeling and being better.

Conservative, liberal, straight, gay, white, black, brown, Christian, non-Christian, etcetera... you will be welcomed!

We struggled to find a church in Ann Arbor that is truly inclusive of LGBTQ folks, and are grateful to have a home at Blue Ocean. The music is contemporary worship and each sermon typically ends with a meditation, which I love. Our family has young children, and the children’s ministry is also a warm and welcoming place.
