I go to Alcoholics Anonymous here at Vineyard on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm. Great meeting, lead discussion followed by shares.

Vineyard is one of the most welcoming, accepting, and socially engaged churches I have been part of. After the first time I came, Vineyard reached out to me multiple times. The church strives to be a place that breaks down barriers to people experiencing community and love, and I found that to be true. The head pastor and ministry directors know congregants by name. Church staff look for ways to get to know congregants outside of church, and the staff are sincere, transparent, and ready to listen.

I have been impacted by sermons at Vineyard more than at any other church I've been to. The sermons are authentic, challenging, insightful, and practical. I have been challenged to action through the sermons, both in personal growth and in service. Pastor Donnell and Nigel Berry have a refreshing perspective and a commitment to reaching out to the community and putting the Gospel into practice. The church is very active in social ministries.

Overall, Vineyard is an incredible church. I have been part of many churches in my life, and it is rare to find a church as welcoming and engaged as Vineyard. This church has had a big impact on me.

I first began attending the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor in high school when we moved to Ypsilanti. I immediately felt a sense of welcoming from the entire congregation and everyone I met. Unfortunately, at that time, my family chose to attend a different church as a home church. However, I never forgot about the Vineyard. When I went into college and felt comfortable choosing my own home church, I went back to attending the Vineyard. While not a regular attender as I should be, I consider the Vineyard as my home church. Now, as a wife and mother, it is the place I want my family to grow as stronger Christians and to strengthen our individual relationships with God.

Pastor Donnell baptized our son and married my husband and I. He was committed and completed our pre-marital counseling in its entirety. He has been a blessing, and has strengthened my commitment to the Vineyard Church. He greets our family by name, something I did not previously experience with the prior leadership of the church. Pastor Donnell and the other staff members of the Vineyard Church are in the process of creating a new sense of comfort with the body of Christ. It is a church I am proud to raise my son within and continue to grow my own family within.

Previous reviews about acceptance are not disregarded. However, in my experience, the Vineyard is welcoming to all. I have friends that are homosexual, and they have always felt welcomed at the Vineyard, even now after what has happened. The Vineyard and Pastor Donnell, in my experience, are not homophobic, and are welcoming to all... because they are children of God, and not God Himself. There is no room for judgement.

We have been attending the Vineyard for 5 years. It has been a tremendous blessing to us. There is a great community with so many people who really care for each other and the local area. A deep commitment to the homeless, a Harvest Fest and Easter Egg hunt open to everyone with hundreds attending, wonderful music, substantive, relevant preaching, and so much more. The events that a couple other reviewers mention were painful to many, but as always there are two sides to every story. Even a community of faithful people trying to follow Jesus make mistakes. But the pastoral staff at the Vineyard have been humble and sincerely committed to caring. We have been impressed and touched by Pastor Donnell's shepherding of our congregation and his willingness to listen to anyone who has concerns or needs. He is actively and transparently working at his faith journey and this is special in a pastor. If you need a community of real people who are trying sincerely to discover how God can be an important part of day to day life, feel free to join us. We'd love to get to know you.

I've been a member here for 5 years, attended for 8 years. I come from a background of attending many different types of churches and truly love the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor. They have a great overall philosophy and approach to Jesus, God, church and life. The staff and pastors are all very warm, loving and devoted Christians and have deep appreciation and respect for all creation. Everyone is welcome at the Vineyard. When you visit you will feel like you've found a safe non-judgmental respite from the world around you.
