I would give it 5 stars if it were still a swim beach and the bathrooms were open during summer months. I do love this place though. I have a lot of very fond memories here dating back to the early 70's. I remember the big slide out in the lake, and there was always a life guard on duty. The beach was always packed full of people having a great time. I remember softball games being played there, volleyball, cookouts, and lots of partying. We always had such a great time. My great-grandparents lived just down the road and I had cousins that lived right behind them so we practically lived at that beach come summer break. Now it's kinda like we are, old and peaceful but still all around wonderful! (Had to put that in there you know! Lol)
Love the park but wouldn't go in the water. The playground is super fun and it's pretty cool to watch birds of prey go fishing in the lake. I don't think I've ever seen the bathrooms open though, any time of day, during any season. Maybe that's a COVID thing though 🤷.
Plenty of parking with a great view of the lake. Fishing dock is an added benefit. A basketball court would complete this park.
Went down to the park for Tower Days. I really enjoyed the craft booths and the music was nice. The burger basket was great! I also had to get some cheese curds before I left. Very nice!
