Ascent Physical Therapy Lee's Summit

I'm 70 years old and was feeling like I couldn't keep up anymore. My energy levels just kept going down and I felt like my daily walks were getting harder and harder. I have grandchildren and just got wiped out after playing with them and I couldn't keep them two days in a row. I thought this was just how it was to get older, but then I met Erik through his company Ascent Physical Therapy. He saw me at my house in Blue Springs and we worked together a few months. Things are so much better now and I feel like there really isn't anything I can't do now that I want to do. I can't say enough good things about him and would recommend him above any other physical therapist or personal trainer I have ever seen (I have seen a lot over the years).

My experience with Erik has been amazing. My husband has had several issues causing him extreme amounts of pain and Erik has taken the time to explain causes and treatment. He is very knowledgeable and has taken the time to follow up with us regularly. He has been very optimistic and professional every step of the way!!!!

I called up Ascent Physical Therapy since a friend suggested them to me. I was having problems still many months after I had my knee replaced. I went to a big and well known PT clinic in Lee's Summit for about 3 months, multiple times every week. I got my bend to 120 degrees and they told me that I was done. I still couldn't get on the floor to play with my grandchildren. I also found it hard to do stairs and to get down for gardening. I got back to exercising at the gym, but just didn't get where I wanted.

I saw Erik in my home for 4 visits over a month or two and within 2 visits, I was able to play on the floor again! I got back to doing all the things I mentioned above and I know I can do even better with more work. I plan on working with him once or twice every month for as long as I can foresee. I want to get as much as I can out of this new knee.

I started with Erik at Ascent PT a few weeks ago to treat my hip pain. He got me in the next day and came right to my house in Lee's Summit, which was sooo convenient. My doctor told me I had bursitis. Erik seems to have the fix. He said it's also probably tendonitis in my hip. My doctor told me to stop running, but within a week of starting with Erik, I was back to about half my old distance and having less pain every time I go out now. I'm so happy that I don't have to stop running, it's the main thing I can do for 'me' time away from my kids and I don't want to give it up. Thank you soooo much, Erik!

I had bad sciatica pain since my last pregnancy, but everyone told me it would go away after I gave birth. I waited six months and it didn't change. A friend told me about Erik at Ascent Physical Therapy and I live close to Lee's Summit, so I called him up. He came to my house, which was so convenient with an infant. It's only been a month or so and I feel almost like new! So much better than my PT experiences before and I won't see or recommend anyone else now.
