  Denise was with us from the day we came home from the hospital through our son's first 3 months. As first-time parents, it was a miracle to have Denise with us. Not only did she treat our son like her own, but she is a wealth of well-researched information about newborn babies. Whether by text or phone call, she answered our questions and concerns at all hours and would proactively share resources with us on many different topics. She would spend meaningful time with us during her shifts educating us in a kind and compassionate way and help us troubleshoot different challenges (when our son was breaking out of his swaddle, she brought 2 different swaddles with her for us to try over the course of the week). It is because of her that we developed the confidence and knowledge to take care of our baby - getting his feeding, sleeping, and play time on track from the beginning. She was also extremely helpful and supportive in my breastfeeding journey, helping me navigate the bumps along the way and coaching me through some very difficult. emotional moments. In addition, she helped keep our house going - doing the laundry overnight (she folds clothes better than anyone I've ever met!), keeping the nursery and changing stations organized, cleaning/sterilizing bottles and pump parts, and managing breast milk supply. When we added a few nights to our contract we also started working with Amanda. She picked right up where Denise left off, took great care of our son, and helped us continue to stretch his sleeping on her nights here. I trust both Denise and Amanda implicitly and was hard-pressed to let them go! It is rare to come across such caring, supportive, kind people who have the passion and ability to not only take care of your baby, but your entire family during such a critical and vulnerable time.

  There are no words to adequately express the gratitude I feel towards Denise and Amanda for helping us navigate an incredibly stressful time. My husband needed surgery shortly after the birth of our second child which meant that I was solo parenting a newborn and 4 year old for several weeks while he recovered. We retained Denise for overnight care. Getting some quality sleep allowed me to not only function but also to meet each day’s challenges with enthusiasm and positivity.
  
  From start to finish Denise and Amanda were professional, compassionate, and most importantly, effective at their jobs. Denise was responsive at each stage from my initial inquiry and throughout our relationship. They both provided helpful suggestions and shared detailed reports of their time with our baby which was reassuring. It was absolutely worth the investment. I only wish we could have had them stay with us longer.

  I called Denise and her team at My Happy Newborn in a frenzy when my newborn was only a week or two old. I had too much on my plate as the sole overnight caregiver and a toddler at home that I couldn't keep up with it all. She was able to quickly fill a need for me with herself as my overnight postpartum doula and was transparent when her schedule would be booked with another family in advance ,she already had someone else lined up for me. We chose to use services for 6 weeks and I am sorry it's coming to an end because if I could use an PP doula until my child was sleeping 12 hours I would! Denise made waking up a breeze - laundry folded, bottles prepped for the day, pump parts sanitized, all bottles cleaned and baby changed, fed and dressed. All I had to do was be present. She would send me detailed notes of the night... times of eating, sleeping, when she would tend to him, etc. Although her services were worth its weight in gold for the exhausted parent, and if I could afford $100/hr I would have but not many can afford that. Her prices were in line with the industry standard give or take $5/hr for agency work. I am happy to say I finally got a great nights' rest the first night she arrived. I wasn't worried at all and trusted her with my newborn. You get the sense of trust when you meet her and her team that you don't feel you need to worry. I chose not to breastfeed and she never ever made me feel bad about that and its as if it was just a matter of fact the baby was on formula rather than judgment, however, i believe she is a lactation consultant so can help you with that if you choose to breastfeed. If you are considering an agency, go with My Happy Newborn, you won't be disappointed.

  Denise and her team from My Happy Newborn were incredible! Denise made our transition home flawless. She helped prep meals, fold laundry, among many other things. Most importantly, she helped care for our newborn and get him on a great rhythm. We trusted her completely. She was also very knowledgable about breastfeeding. She made my experience that much easier by offering advice without being overwhelming or intrusive. I cannot recommend Denise and her team enough. One of the best decisions we ever made as new parents.

  I truly cannot thank or recommend Denise enough!
  
  I had a BEYOND traumatizing experience with an IBCLC and I turned to Denise for her support.
  
  Not only was she apologetic for something she had zero involvement in, but she actually gave me support and made me feel empowered!
  
  Less than 24 hours after our meeting I was SUCCESSFULLY breast feeding my 7 week old for the first time and without the support and guidance from Denise, I would have given up!
