A bit of a technical climb with beautiful views. Don't forget water and maybe some snacks.
My friend and I wanted up the NJ AT towards Sunfish Pond. It was an amazing hike up to and around the pond. Heading down My. Tammany Fire Rd was NOT as easy as we had thought. But, it was still an enjoyable hike. We did happen to see a North-Eastern Diamond Back Rattle Snake, so keep eyes open, and have fun.
Deff will be back for more hiking here. Jus amazing
Beautiful views, well maintained trails of varying difficulty, free parking and park entry. Gets crowded on weekends.
You'll see multiple exposed rock, rapids, and waterfalls in a thick forest carpeted with moss and ferns. Take the Dunnfield Creek Trail to see the waterfalls and rapids. The biggest falls are about a half-hour walk from the parking area.
