(October 1, 2016, 10:23 pm)Sunfish Pond lies about 4 miles in from the Dunnfield Natural Area along the Appalachian Trail. The hike includes a fair amount of elevation and is very rocky in sections, but the pond is well worth the effort to get there. Extending the hike a little bit will bring you to the northern end of the pond where small cliffs provide a nice vantage point.
There are several trail options to return to the parking area. -
