Dr.Ariana Verrilli took care of our beloved dog, Diggy.
We unfortunately, lost Diggy to cancer last month.
Diggy brought my family & I great joy for 16 amazing years.
I can say that without a shadow of a doubt the level of care, compassion and integrity that was given to Diggy & our family was unprecedented.
Dr.Verrilli took as much time as needed to explain Diggy’s diagnosis, medications & treatments in great detail.
She didn’t hesitate to go over things multiple times till we understood what we were up against.
When that gut wrenching moment came that we knew Diggy wasn’t coming home with us that day the staff acknowledged our grief.
In the days & weeks to follow we have been pleasantly surprised to receive condolence cards from the office.
We were also extremely touched by the remembrance package that we selected.
It was so beautifully done.
Upon going through the contents of the package we began to cry.
Diggy’s memory will live on forever.
I can’t say enough good things about this facility.
We are still adjusting and coping with Diggy being gone.
We have no clue what the future holds for our family to have another fur baby but if we do we will continue at this office.

We've seen several doctors here over the years. Dr. Kent and the entire cardiology team are simply amazing! They are attentive, caring, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The whole team was happy to help when I had questions or concerns outside of a scheduled appointment. I would call and speak with a doctor easily. The front office staff is also incredible. I highly recommend this practice for anyone with a doggy with any special or difficult issues.

I recently had to visit this emergency clinic for my dog Gus. He was experiencing dark brown/red diarrhea, vomiting and a decrease in appetite. The staff were all amazing!! Dr. Hannum was fantastic, and gave my dog a thorough exam, genuinely listened to my concerns and provided excellent care. I was given very clear and concise after-care instructions, and felt at ease when my dog was discharged. All dog parents hope to never have a medical emergency with their fur babies, but if you do, I highly recommend Upstate Veterinary!

A few days ago, we had to bring our senior cat in for an acute medical situation at 2a. Greeted immediately by a friendly man at the desk outlining potential tests along with fair and clear pricing. The vet tech taking our feline for care was equally as kind. Meeting with the wonderful Dr. Cleveland gave us peace-of-mind that euthanasia was the most humane choice. As sad as that decision was, every moment spent at UVS was made better by the incredible staff who made us comfortable as well as our sweet, feisty girl.

Our Doberman Shadow was diagnosed with heart arrhythmias by our local vet. We opted to drive the 3+ hours one way to bring him to Upstate Veterinary Specialties, and it was definitely worth the drive!! Cornell Animal Hospital is much closer but we have had nothing short of horrible experiences there with every aspect of what they call "care". and will never go to or recommend them to anyone. WHAT a difference in everything at/about Upstate! I can not say enough good things about the the cardiologist (Dr. Sedacca), and everyone encountered before, during , and after my visit there! They were pleasant, caring, and professional. We got personalized care that was all about Shadow and his well being, the way it should be! Due to their excellent care, and after less then 24 hours on the prescribed heart meds, Shadow is now back to being his active happy 10yr old "puppy" acting self and we are looking forward to many more happy years with our boy! I will continue to make the necessary trips up here as well as spread the word to everyone I know on the excellent experience they will have here! Here is a smile from him to you!
