Hands down one of the best fencing facilities in the country
We LOVE FC. My partner and I fenced there for a year or so, and even as older fencers who started late with fencing, we were supported and there was a general feeling of acceptance. We have been with other clubs before and after, but FC is a league of its own. Even after years of being away, we still feel loyalty and affiliation to the club.
This is one of the most famous fencing clubs in the US. Many of the country's greatest fencers train there. It's worth going to at least one night of open bouting if you are in NYC for any reason. The facility is beautiful, with an enormous amount of grounded strips and overhead scoring machines. The staff are extremely helpful, and the members are very welcoming.
For reference, the club is on the second floor. You'll need to call to have someone buzz you in. If you are visiting from out of town, it will save time if you fill out your info online and either pay or at least create an account.
Excellent coaches within the Westbrook foundation. Academic tutoring a great program.
The school is top notch, and the instructor is knowledgable, friendly and the atmosphere is super friendly. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family!
