Four star Because the spicy soup base is not spicy at all. The beef slice and lamb slice are amazing, They are so thin. If you don't waste food at the end, They will charge you few dollars less per person. All other foods are fine. The pot If you don't set to 15+ or 20max, it is very difficult to have your soup boil. I like their restaurant setup. It looks neat.
Having only a few hot pot experiences from my home of MN, I didn’t expect all that much; but I ended up being blown away. Not only was the pricing more fair (2 ppl all you can eat up to like 56-60$ which is a little cheaper than MN where it’s 60-70$). The selection of ingredients here was also superb, having far more variety than I was used to. Good quality meat as well. Good experience, although I do miss myself some skewers like the hot pot locations in MN had.
I came twice before the renovation and once more after. After the renovation, the system has changed, but it is still great! The servers are all polite, patient, and helpful. My friend and I did not know that we were supposed to inform the servers of our coupon ahead of time, but they still helped us cashed it in. Even when the place is crowded, they routinely come by to refill the hotpot. The buffet have a self-service table where you can get seafood, pasta, vegetables, and other side dishes. The meat were filling and tasty. The only thing you need to watch out is the timing. While they do not specify a time limit, you generally have between 2-2.5 hours as a time limit. Other AYCE places may extend to 3 hours, but here is slightly shorter. Still highly recommend as the foods and services were all great!
Nothing is better on a cold winter day than hot pot. Ordering the half & half broth is the ultimate cheat; it’s the best of both worlds. What I like to do is cook my foods in the spicy broth and drink only the milky broth. Trust me on this, your insides will thank you. Both the broths are full of herbs and spices which gives them depth and a rich taste. Ingredients here are always fresh. The sauces in the sauce station are pretty basic as the flavors of the broths are already so strong. While it is located in the heart of Flushing, the interior is modern with a cozy ambiance. There are cubbies underneath the seats to store your belongings so they won’t smell. Ventilation is not the best here so for those who don’t like the smell of lamb, beware.
We miss the all you can eat Little Lamb. The price/portion ration for Happy Lamb isn't too good. Each person need to spend close to $50 to get enough to eat.
Flavor is okay, nothing stands out. Especially the spicy broth which was not spicy at all.
Service was nice but for the price, they should offer some free deserts like ice cream or can fruits.
