Christman Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary

Took the whole family! 4 kids, 2 dog’s, 1 wife, and a mother In-Law. Everyone loved it, the trail’s we’re well marks and plenty of things to see. River running along most of the trail.

Lovely little hike. Enjoyed the trails which were well kept and there's a decent parking lot. The waterfall was beautiful this time of year.

Very nice place. Nice trails with wood to walk on if muddy... but today wasn't muddy. Most of the walk is shaded. Nice waterfalls and everything seemed safe enough for our 6 year old. Took about 20 minutes to waterfall. We were there for an hour and a half. It was an exact 1 mile walk for us. Very little parking on a Sunday. We had to park on street. In total there were about 15 cars there. It was quite busy. We were always with at least 3 other groups at the waterfalls.

Although this is a more popular destination in the area it is nice when there arent alot of trail travelers. A nice hike apx 2.2 miles mostly along a nice river/stream bed leading to a small waterfall (apx. 10-15 feet) and a small pool at the bottom anywhere from 3-6 ft. Deep. The trail(s) are marked if its your first time there. Well maintained and a nice relaxing walk/hike. A couple friends & I broke trail this winter turning it into a good exercise as well as the falls almost being frozen over!

This is an interlocking figure 8 hike, a few miles long, with the big attraction (a gorgeous waterfall you can wade into) about a quarter mile on the right hand side. It's an easy hike perfect for children, but it's not stroller-friendly. There are rocks and tight turns. Small children should be monitored, because there are some drop offs without railings.

The top of the Figure 8 Loop hike is not well marked - you actually have to walk across the stream itself on the rocks, which means you will almost certainly get your shoes wet :-)

There are no restrooms or water, but there is one small parking lot. Wear long pants, some of the trail cut through high grass.

There is not much of an elevation change, some small hills and that's it. It's a very pretty hike that I'm sure gets even prettier in the fall.
