New Croton Dam

A beautiful park for a bbq, picnic or hike. The surroundings are peaceful, especially with the sounds of the waterfall from the dam.

Although the parking lot is large it has been known to get full. If this is the case card will be lined up outside of the entrance and can only enter once another car has left.

There is no concessions stand so be certain to pack some food and drinks. There are restrooms, water fountains and a playground for children.

Very interesting place. The example of human and nature collaboration. You can enjoy the view on dam and have a nice time with friends. There is a special place for them who love picnic.

I liked the place. Beautiful view, misterious paths with walking deers, such a quite and natural place. There are tables and benches where you can have a lunch, also small palyground.

Beautiful and scenic place. The reservoir is an extension of the original Croton Dam that was built to supply water to NYC. To reach the reservoir, drive to Croton Gorge Park and then walk or bike along a trail that leads directly to it.

Super impressive. Fourth largest of the 7 water reserviors that supply water to New York City via the Croton Aqueduct. Croton is named a Dam Town following this huge dam. You can get T-Shirts with this printed on them.
