This review is for anyone thinking about putting your family member at elmcroft. I am going to tell you about 3 people you will come in contact with during your visits. 1st is Donna who sits at the front desk. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help you with anything you need. She is definitely the right person to have at the front desk. The 2nd person is Mr. Shirley who is the head nurse at the facility. She is what I called Southern hospitality. She will call you sweetie and make sure your loved ones get all of their proper medications and medical treatment that they need. Last but not least is Cedric belle who is the person you will speak to when touring the facility And doing the admission paperwork. Cedric in my opinion should be the director of the facility because he can handle any situation that you throw at him. I have worked with Cedric on several things and he has always made sure I was happy. Cedric is definitely the man at elmcroft facility.

Know the difference between assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. If your loved one is mostly physically capable but tends to get confused or needs companionship and community Elmcroft is the place to go. If your loved one needs more care because of surgeries, colostomy care, or severe dementia illness skilled nursing facilities will be the best choice. Do your research before you cast blame, visit often, and know when to advocate. This facility is great, they have had turnover due to ownership changes, but the powers that be care and will listen to you when you have needs or concerns.

Gabe was hands down the most vital and valuable asset during my birth experience. To express the life long impact she had on me, my partner and our birthing experience in words feels impossible! As a first time mom I had a planned Homebirth and when I went into labor, things moved along fast. Gabe was the only professional support person we had for the entirety of my labor and delivery (our Midwife did not arrive until after the baby was born). When she walked into my home she immediately brought my high stress energy down and had me refocused. I was in active labor and pushing my baby down upon her arrival and she immediately met my energy keeping me grounded and empowered.

After delivery Gabe was by my side bringing water, juice, food, and helping me to use the bathroom and shower. She was there to answer our 4 am texts with questions about our new baby and came to check in with us postpartum. When I tell others our birth story, she is the person I praise for helping make my birth experience so powerful and positive.

Gabe has a pure and loving soul, and I cannot recommend her enough. I can only hope to have her as my doula for all of my births.

Gabe was with me when I delivered my son 6 months ago, and I hold her in my heart each day since. I can hear her voice even now: "there you go; that's the way," - a nearly imperceptible whisper memory that lingers with me, renewing me. I knew from the first time I met with Gabe that she was the doula for me. Her spirit is gentle and open. She welcomed me even in my ignorance and my foggy pregnancy brain and gave me what I needed, both practically and spiritually. Particularly helpful before the birth was her birth plan template. Particularly helpful after were her visit and phone calls to help me process the impact of my birth story. Every day I pray my son will grow to be strong and peaceful. I'm so thankful he was greeted by such a person on the day of his birth. Thank you Gabe for caring for us!

We used Gabe's services for postpartum bengkung belly binding. I would highly recommend booking her for this or any of her other services. She came to our home, spent ample time demonstrating and advising me on the proper technique of belly wrapping. I felt like she made sure my questions were answered and I had a good grasp on what to do before she left.

Gabe is beyond wonderful and I would highly recommend her services to anyone!! She was my doula for both of my births (one very long and one very short). She was so calm, encouraging and positive throughout. She really focused on what my husband and I wanted and needed, but also shared wisdom from other births for guidance. We felt 100% support from her and were incredibly thankful to have her as part of our birth team!

Gabe was such a wonderful birth partner for my husband and me during my pregnancy and childbirth. Gabe was so kind, helpful but never overbearing, respectful and enthusiastic. I really appreciated her guidance and involvement throughout the end of my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter. We felt so much safer and at ease knowing she was there to support us. I could tell that the midwives felt very comfortable with her presence too. I felt Gabe was experienced and knowledgeable about so much of the process, and also knew how to be a good team player when the time came. Highly recommend!
