  We were very pleased with the way Kala handled the selling of our home. She was knowledgeable, prompt and diligent in getting the job done for us in a very timely manner. She was our advocate throughout the entire process making it less stressful for us since we were out of state. Kala is a wonderful agent and we couldn't have asked for anyone more hard working and helpful in every way!

  Kala made the process easy, she was upfront, honest and fair with all cost. She referred contractors to assist me with preparing the house for sale. I used the recommended cleaning person, who did an excellent job. She listened to my concerns, provided sound advice and guidance. I would definitely use her in the future if I was buying or selling. Kala Fortin is top notch professional.

  My husband and I recently bought our first home. We bought during a sellers market. A friend of mine referred me to Kala Fortin and I am so glad she did. My husband and I both work full time and I’m also in school full time. Kala would go to houses for us and give us an honest opinion. If it wasn’t something she would want to live in then she would tell us. Then when we did find a house, she gave us tips on making the best offer. We place an offer and it was accepted and we were gearing up to move. The week before closing, the seller wanted to back out and keep the house. Kala handled everything very professionally and told us our options. She was our advocate during the whole thing. She is very genuine and was just as annoyed if not more annoyed than we were. Thankfully she guided us through everything and we were able to get the house. All of that to say we are very thankful that our friend suggested Kala and we plan on using her again and plan on referring anyone we can do her.

  Well it all started about 2 years ago….We called a mortgage broker in the area and the broker suggested Kala at Summit Realty. Kala was an unbelievable broker! She went to over 25 homes for us some over 2 hours away in last 2 years. Not once did she say it’s to far or she can’t go there because it is not in her mls area. We were in NYS making arrangements to move to NC not even knowing where we wanted to move to. Well with the housing market so crazy and inventory so low we thought for sure we would either end up with a small home in a so so area or a home that needed lots of work for an inflated price. Sad to say we had a lot of criteria for our new home of what we wanted it to have and made the search that much harder for her. So we finally moved to Fayetteville in an apartment with a 6 month lease which really put a lot of pressure on both of us to find a home. Kala invited us to dinner as this was the first time we actually met her. (Over 1 year later). We loved the area where she lived and concentrated there. Well about 5 months later she called us and a home became available as the seller was moving to Texas. We looked at the home and signed the paper work the next day! We live just a stone throw away from her home and ABSOLUTELY love our home and neighborhood!! I can’t say enough about her professionally but most of all personally she is a honest, loving, god fearing mother, wife and friend. God bless her!! There is no one better at their job than KALA!!!!

  Kala is an absolutely Incredible realtor! As others have said below, I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Among the many wonderful qualities of Kala and her business, is that she is EXTREMELY responsive to all questions/calls (texts, chats, etc. - she handles all modes of communication effortlessly) at any time of the day. You simply cannot put a price on the sanity and comfort you gain from the type of commitment and effort Kala puts into her work. Others have said that Kala treats you like a human and it is so true. What I think many of us want in a realtor is someone who talks to you like a friend would. Kala does that and it's particularly comforting when you ask for advice on tough decisions. She doesn't treat you like you're another sale; she gives honest advice. Lastly, Kala will go near and far to find you the right home. She travelled with us to probably 30+ homes (and she researched even more) from Sanford to Pittsboro, Apex to Clayton and everywhere in between. We never felt pressured to make a decision or to not look at a house. And if all that doesn't convince you, with Kala's incredible help and commitment we were able to buy a 3 year old house AT LIST PRICE, in a growing neighborhood close to Raleigh, in the heat of the 2021 market 1 month into looking (offer made April of 2021 - closed in June 2021).
