Flat turn work, high speed fun. There is definitely a sewer spill upstream though. This low elevation trail uses cornering to slow riders down. The alternate direction days are a good idea.

Triangle Land Conservancy's newest preserve opened to the public in September 2020. There are about nine miles of trails with all but one open to mountain biking along the Wake/Johnston County line. The trails wind through forests, open meadows and working farmland, making for a really beautiful hike. The trails also connect to the Neuse River Greenway in Clayton. As bike trails are sensitive to erosion, the preserve is closed when the trails are wet.

Another terrific Preserve by TLC. Seven miles of one way shared mountain bike/hiking trails. One foot traffic only 0.9 mile loop around two small ponds. Trails are a great mix of meadows, pine forest, creek crossings and hardwoods. Trail connects to the Clayton River Walk Greenway (about 3.5 miles from the parking area). Closed when wet. Parking area is tiger tight, no privy and no parking along the roadway.

Wonderful resource. 4 multipurpose trail loops for cycling, hiking, OR running. Nice flow, features, and nothing too technical. For experienced riders, this can easily be ridden on a gravel/cross bike if you've not got a mountain bike.

Can be accessed via the Neuse River Trail (entrance just south of Wake / Johnston County lines)

Beautiful covered and open spaces. Only trail in the area that makes you truly feel you’re out in nature.
