Wake Forest Montessori is an excellent school that has helped my child grow and develop, both emotionally and educationally. The focus is on preparing the child for kindergarten, and my child is definitely prepared. But they also teach how to handle and deal with your emotions and conflict resolution, focusing both on independent and group play and learning; helping to prepare your child for the big world. The teachers, staff and administration all truly care about your child and family.
Both of my daughters ages now 7 and 5 attended WFM. We just love the school, staffing, other families, and the overall environment. We were first interested I. The fact that they have such a hands on teaching and learning approach, just as we tend to teach our own children at home. They are considerate and accommodating when it comes to family issues weather emotional or financial. I never thought I would do the early child care for my kids but after my eldest PreK experiences her sister was ready to jump in and we felt comfortable enough doing so. The children are exposed to not only the regular learnings but to culture and detail in nature the world and life. My oldest wishes she could go back honestly lol. I drive 30mins jus for this school experience for my children and the pleasent people.
WFM is an excellent school where teachers pay a lot of attention to the development of overall personality of a child and not focus only on certain areas. School has got a very well designed curriculum and teachers spend a lot of time in assessing the individual growth of kids. I would definitely recommend this school to all parents who want to see their kids grow, I mean REALLY grow like out two sons have.
The school has become a home away from home for my son. He loves the teachers. They are very supportive of his growth into a productive citizen of the world. He is blossoming more every week he attends!
My son was born with level 3 & 4 brain bleeds and was predicted to have severe Cerebral Palsy. He didn’t eat on his own until about six months of age and didn’t speak until he began at Wake Forest Montessori at age three. Before Wake Forest Montessori, he was doing feeding therapy, speech therapy, and developmental therapy two to three times a week in addition to church preschool. Our therapist recommended Wake Forest Montessori when he wasn’t progressing. After being immersed at Wake Forest Montessori he learned to speak, interact with other children enjoy, and thrived within months. Not only did Wake Forest Montessori change my son's life, it gave a mother hope for the future of her child and a child a future.
