Pacific Car Care

Suffice to say I liked this place a lot; I try to find a go-to mechanic in every town and Pacific Car Care is a viable candidate. Ken is definitely a sales guy and definitely seems down to sell you everything including the kitchen sink if you let him, but that's really just an asterisk to the high level of expertise that believe Ken + crew at Pacific Car Care deliver. The way they troubleshot was very logical and straightforward, I respected that a lot. I also appreciated the numerous invitations to come to the garage and look at what they were doing throughout the process. They found the problem with my car fast and genuinely seemed interested and even enthusiastic about unraveling the problem and getting my car back to driving condition. And here's the most important part: the car runs like new now. I have to take it back in soon to make sure everything's up to spec, it's an old (but loved) vehicle and was majorly botched by a mobile mechanic, but it drives great and has shown no signs of the (hopefully) previous problem. If I had one a complaint it's that they really seemed to roll out the red carpet when I first came in, but when it was time to pay it was very dry; I wanted to receipt structured in a certain way it was like "no, we can't really do that." Once again though, I kind of don't care: the car runs great and I have confidence in the work that they did and that's pretty much all that really matters to me at least. I'd recommend going here if you have a problem that's a little mysterious, you want to walk away a little smarter about your car, and you don't want any bs when getting it fixed. Prices were about average, it's an urban mechanic shop.

I took a car there recently for a pre-purchase inspection on a used car I was considering buying. It was my first time there and I came away very impressed. Their report on the car was very detailed and the mechanic (sorry, forgot his name) took the time to go over the pros and cons for me to consider. Ultimately it saved me from making a $10k mistake. The price was a little more than a couple other mechanics in the area are charging, but it was money well spent. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Pacific Car Care is very professional, honest, fair and their mechanics know what they are doing and fix your car right the first time! I live across the country and my daughter moved to Portland recently. Pacific Car Care was recommended to her by a colleague. Mike and the rest of his team work with me by phone with a few problems my daughter was having with her vehicle on several occasions. I was kept informed of the progress and was able to make the payment safe and secure from my location! 5 Stars is not enough!!! I highly recommend Pacific Car Care!
